We are both Navy veterans. We served as electricians in engineering divisions aboard aircraft carriers, working in high-responsibility environments where systems had to function, and when they didn’t, we were part of the emergency response team tasked with restoring stability.
That work shapes how we approach everything now.
Oak & Iron is not a hobby brand or a trend-driven wellness shop. It is an extension of how we think:
identify the problem,
understand the system
apply the right intervention
avoid unnecessary complexity.
We live on land in South Carolina surrounded by oak trees. The oak represents what is rooted and steady. The iron represents what is forged, engineered, and resilient.
Together, they represent our approach.
After years in service, engineering, and leadership roles, we wanted to build something tangible, something that reflected both structure and stewardship.
As a physical therapist specializing in pelvic health and systems-based rehabilitation, I have spent years helping people restore function. We saw an opportunity to create products that align with that same philosophy: intentional, limited-purpose formulations designed to support the body without overpromising or overcomplicating.
Every product exists for a reason. If it doesn’t serve a clear function, we don’t make it.
We do not chase trends.
We do not create vague “wellness” products.
We do not add ingredients for marketing appeal.
Our formulations are small-batch and purpose-driven. We prioritize clarity, tolerability, and defined use cases.
We think in terms of systems:
Restore.
Stabilize.
Rebuild.
Support.
That mindset comes directly from our background in engineering and emergency response.
Service taught us discipline.
Engineering taught us troubleshooting.
Leadership taught us restraint.
